Professional Makeup Artist and Hairstylist based in York, North Yorkshire
TRAININGS AND BACKGROUND
Marci originally trained as a Beauty Therapist in the Czech Republic in 1997-2000.
With flare for the creative makeup she had been taking part in the Fantasy Makeup Competitions in Germany, Austria and in the Czech Republic in 2000. (If not painting the faces or sculpting hair she paints and draws in her spare time on paper and canvas.)
Experienced as a beauty consultant, she became a lecturer for the Modeling Agency - teaching young girls skincare and makeup aplication for the day life as well as for the photography purposes and catwalks.
She started her bridal makeup and hairstyling journey in 2002.
Trained in Advanced Makeup, Ethnic Skintones Makeup and Hairstyling by Mai Lee in Beauty Base School in London in 2009.
Marci completed (again) Beauty Therapy course in UK (distance learning); and received the diploma with the highest honours (Fun fact: mainly for enhancing her language skills this time).
She keeps up to the current standards by constantly upgrading her skills with various trainings whether online or in person:
P.Louise Makeup academy in Manchester for heavy glam looks workshops in 2019.
Elstile, Tonya Stylist and Ulyana Aster's hair trainings online in 2018 and 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022.
Working in the various photography studios in York, Harrogate, Leeds as a makeup artist and session stylist since 2011.
Doing hair and makeup for the fashion shoots at various locations, pre-wedding photo shoots, events (Miss York), and promotional/corporate shoots since 2007.
Marci is passionate about the bridal hairstyling and makeup, creative editorial makeup looks as well as simple looks to highlight the individual natural beauty!
With 28 years of experience she has never stopped learning and trying new things and that's the beauty of what this job and the creative beauty industry has to offer to her! Continuous growth, job satisfaction and happy clients.
Marci used to work regularly with an amazing and bubbly photographer Andrea Denniss, a head of Pink Lily Photography and created glam hair and makeup looks for her 'Lovely Lady's shoots' - the sophisticated boudoir photoshoots or headshots which show every woman at her best.
Marci works with talented Ross Charles Hairdressing (awarded Best Hair Salon in York) complementing with her makeup skills the fantastic and inspiring competition hair looks (L'Oreal Colour Throphy, British Hairdressing Awards).
Marci works with wonderful photographer David Charles, doing makeup for the professional headshots (including makeup for Jane McDonald 2019, 2021)
Marci occasionally works on the shoots happening in Yorkshire (The Sun, The Daily Mail) and beautifying Yorkshire based women and men featuring in the articles.
Marci did hair and makeup for Lizzie Armitsted an Olympic cyclist (2 days of filming short movie in Dales).
She did makeup and hair for the various corporate shoots (Pfizer, Radara - targeted skincare)

Marci is fully insured and has a certified qualification in Advanced Makeup and Hairstyling.
